CQA Middle School

Grades 5-8

CQA’s high-performing middle school serves a diverse multilingual and multicultural student body in grades 5-8. Our small school of approximately 100 scholars per grade, means we know each of our scholars individually and are able to meet them where they are academically, socially and emotionally.

RIGOROUS PROGRAM

Our rigorous program is designed especially for our diverse student body, with a focus on literacy and high academic standards in a warm and welcoming small-school environment. We offer middle school scholars advanced high-school level Regents classes, like Algebra 1 and Earth Science, which prepare them for success in high school and allows them to gain credits earlier than most of their peers.

outstanding RESULTS

CQA has been the highest performing charter middle school since 2014. Our scholars have outperformed their peers in District 24, NYC and NY State on the State ELA and Math exams every year. Our middle school was also named a Rewards School by the New York State Department of Education, an award given to only the top 5% of public schools state-wide.

HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE READY

CQA prepares scholars for success in high school and college. Each year 15-20% of CQA eighth graders go on to specialized or high performing high schools like Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Technical, Manhattan Hunter, Townsend Harris, Bronx High School of Science, and Bard, among others. More than 75% of our eighth graders are accepted to one of the top five high schools of their choice.

CQA alumni are now in college! They are attending, Columbia University, Cornell University, New York University, Pratt University, and St. John's University to name just a few. We are so proud of their accomplishments!
